Filming For The Awards Night

If someone had told me that when we set up Flameprotect UK that 4 years on and we'd be short listed for a business award and be invited to a secret location to carry out some filming to be shown at the award night I would of just laughed at them.

But today that actually happened.
What a amazing journey we've been on so far and I still sometimes have to pinch myself when we find ourselves in the places we've worked and some of the amazing people we've met.
And to top it all to have done it all along side my best friend/brother Wes Fisher having now worked together for close on 20 years makes it even more special.
Here's to the next 20 years. Buckle up I don't think this journey shows any signs of slowing.

Fire Proofing Curtains London

Lewisham college London called us after they couldn't find any paper work regarding their theatre curtains. 

A date was arranged during the summer break so there was no disruption during term time. 

The curtains are almost 30ft so fire retardant application had to be carried out off tower scaffolding. 

Over a 1000sqm of fabric was treated during the day and the place left cleaning and tidy

What a way to finish off the week. Flameprotect UK has only gone and made the final 3 for the Mon Business Awards.

It's safe to say that myself and Wes Fisher are chuffed to bits with making the short list and even if we don't walk away with the top award to be held at #CelticManor in October. We can definitely hold our heads high.

Hugely important day for Flameprotect UK as we embark on meeting another huge potential customer. 

Even after already working with some massive UK brands you can't help but feel nervous about the possibility of working along side another. After now trading for over 4 years we can now boast more knowledge and more confidence in meeting with such a major player in the UK leisure industry.

4 years and still going strong

As Flame Protect UK gets ready to celebrates its 4th birthday we pass another 2 landmark goals. Our social media marking campaign has surpassed over 2000 followers and we go over 600 jobs that's been invoiced.

A lot has happened in the first 4 years.  starting off working out of a back street garage, a spare room at home as a office and a old second hand transit van.

Hard work and sweat has finally started to pay off and the places we've been and the customers we've worked for we sometimes have to pinch ourselves as we continue with what has been an amazing journey so far.

There's nothing quite like a happy customer and positive feed back.

Completed within a morning and ready to use that very same evening. All with a 5 year certification to BS5867 part 2 type B and iron on labels attached as further proof for the fire risk assessment.

Working with with one of our high end interior design customers we where recently called to help out at a state if the the art student accommodation in London. Where we had to do in house FR treatment to curtains and upholstery. 

The treatment took less than 4 hours and the students where able to use the facilities that very same evening.

On a recent fire risk assessment at the SSE Office at Cardiff gate it was picked up that a 30 year old tapestry was not flame resistant, and that because it was on an escape route it should be or it needs to be removed. 

Not wanting to do that Jan Watts called us to see if we could help as the piece has a sentimental aspect to it. 

A day later the tapestry is now fire retardant and complies to the legal requirements for commercial use.

Another day brings another unusual project 36 artificial silk roses to be used as a stage set at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Unusual projects are fast becoming a middle name for Flameprotect UK as the latest project has just been completed. Silk Vietnamese lanterns lanterns to be used at a high end restaurant in London. Flameprotect retardant application and hot wire test certification issued.

When West Midland Band Haerken got stopped at one of its gigs from displaying their banners and back drops they didn't know what to do. Luckily one call to Flameprotect and everything was sorted. The items was sent out to us treatment carried out dried and returned the very same day with full certification ready for the next leg of their tour.

A bespoke interior design company contacted us as he was looking to put his artificial foliage panels into commercial buildings and they where failing the standards. 

A few weeks on and a load of testing carried we carried out our first project together for a building in Reading. 

141 individual panels and 23 boxes of loose foliage all treated with a flame retardant spray application to comply to all the relevant standards.
